Easter Mini-Sittings at Trinity Church

On Friday, March 12th and Saturday, March 13th, 1stLite Fine Art Portraits will be making available a Mini-Sitting event in celebration of Easter! This is the perfect opportunity to have beautiful custom portraits made of your child or children in their Easter best!

Trinity Church on Main Street in downtown Yazoo City has kindly allowed us the use of their beautiful outdoor space for this event! Sittings will be held in the courtyard and outdoor sanctuary. In the case of inclement weather, alternate dates will be available.

Each Mini-Sitting fee applies to one individual or one group of individuals.

ABOUT THE MINI-Books –
Mini-Books are NEW for 2010! These are adorable accordion-folded mini-albums, printed on recycled art paper, each with a custom photographic cover! Great for display or travel, gifts or keepsakes (Grandparents LOVE these!!).

I had SUCH a great time this evening!! We were shooting James Hollins’ Senior portraits in downtown Yazoo City.  (For those who don’t know, James is my step-son.) Maggie and her friend Michele came along for the fun! I had such a great time, and we would have continued to shoot on into the night were it not for a problem with some off-brand batteries going kaput! Grr -lesson learned – Energizer all the way, baby! lol

You know the old saying (by whoever it was) “When you get old and look back at your life, you’ll most regret the things you did not do, and not so much the things you did” – or something to that effect.  I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about that lately.  When I look back, I do indeed have a few  ”I wish I had”s and “I should have”s.  I suppose most of us do.  We all get so bogged down in our everyday lives and somehow manage to drown out that little voice telling us all the phone calls we should make, the people and places we should visit, the helping hand we should extend, the child we should play with, the hugs we should cherish and, indeed, the photos we should make.

Each and every moment, glance, kiss, phase, experience – is one we will never have again.

All of these truths speak so deeply to my heart.  They are exactly why I LOVE being a photographer.  It means that I get to spend my days with wonderful people and I get to present those same people with a priceless and fleeting gift – the gift of time.

Let us remember to slow down, just a little, and take the time to enjoy all of our many blessings…

Happy Two-thousand and Ten, everyone!  Newly redesigned website, new pricing structure, new specials, new products, new bonuses for all my Beautiful customers, and yes – A NEW BLOG!  I am so excited to get this going!  I’ll most likely be spending a few days getting everything just right, but please come back soon – I will be updating with info on my first mini-sitting special of 2010 VERY soon!  You’re going to LOVE it!  :)

1stLite Fine Art Portraits wishes everyone a Happy New Year! BIG exciting news will be breaking soon, so keep an eye out! Sorry I can’t say much more at the moment – gotta get back to work – But, I will update everyone soon!

1stLite Fine Art Portraits is about to be back up and running for the holiday season. We have moved closer to Yazoo City and, considering this change, I am only offering on-location sessions at this time. Nothing says family more than having your portraits made at home! Discounts are available for some locations! (Call for details.)

The cut off date for new sessions if you would like delivery before Christmas is November 30th – Final order cut off for all sessions and orders old and new is December 5th. These dates are subject to change based on my work load – time is running short! Call to book asap! Your portraits from 1stLite always make a welcomed and cherished gift!

I tailor each session to you and your needs. Below you will find some general guidelines on average sessions – but, you are by no means limited to this! If you would like for me to be your Personal Photographer, feel free to call or e-mail me. We will get to know each other and together we will come up with a session and print package to meet your heart’s desires and your wallet’s needs!

Family Sessions: Forever preserve the love, devotion and bond your family shares. No time limits, no pressure, no fake smiles or cheesy grins – During your session you will be encouraged to interact as a family – laugh, run, have FUN, and enjoy being YOU! Sessions start at $100 for up to 5 people (and pets!) Every family is special and unique, and your portrait session and images will reflect that.

Mini-Sitting Family Specials- (see Blog or Facebook page to stay posted on when these are available!)

Maternity and Newborn: The miracle of new life defies description with words… Maternity and Newborn packages start at $150 and can include the whole family. Time is of the essence, so please call me to schedule as early as possible.

Children: Moms and Dads know, our children grow too fast – One blink, a newborn – The next blink, a Kindergartner! Each and every session is tailored to you and your child – from 1st Birthday sessions to teenagers. When you next blink, your portraits from 1stLite will remind you of exactly who he or she was at that moment. Sessions for individual children start at $50 for in-studio mini-sessions. On-Location sessions are also available.

High School Seniors: Here stands the Senior at the edge of a giant leap toward adulthood. Capturing this moment is one of the most important steps in that transition. Senior sessions are customized to you, your family and to your Senior’s personality and interests. Sessions start at $200 and cover several outfits and/or locations.

Engagement (E-Session): Before the dress, before the I Do’s – before you become WE instead of he and she – Your E-Session is the way to tell the world of your love and devotion to each other. Sessions start at $100. E-Sessions include one digital file for newspaper submission.

Bridal Portraits: A session JUST for YOU! Many brides like to use their Bridal Portrait Session as a trial-run for their wedding day. You have the hair, the makeup, the dress – once you put it all together, we have a ton of fun making gorgeous images! A full session will usually cover several locations and settings. Remember to bring along a friend (or a few – every bride needs and entourage!), or mom, or even hubby-to-be. Today is all about YOU! Starting at $200.

Wedding Packages: A variety of wedding packages are available starting at $1500.

Purchasing a wedding package is the best way to get the most for your money. However, you are welcome to call for a free consultation to help you build your own package for Wedding coverage. Call or e-mail for more details.
