Dear Friend,

My name is Dawn Rosenberg Davis.  I am a Mississippi artist with an eye for beauty and a love of art.  Image making has always been a passion of mine, starting with my pink and gray Polaroid Cool Cam when I was a kid.  At 12, I begged for what I thought was an incredible 35mm Minolta from the local Kmart.  I was 15 when my step-father gave me an old Yashika SLR with a 50mm lens.  I was hooked!  The world seemed even more beautiful to me through that viewfinder!

When I was 16, I attended a college course in Photojournalism.  I learned to process black and white film and make my own prints, how to see light, how to see the extraordinary in the ordinaty, and how to capture those most fleeting moments of life.  I vowed to one day return to my love of photography.  Later, I studied Fine Arts and developed a love of painting, drawing and sculpture.  Be it loose and flowing watercolor, detailed pencil drawings, or expressive charcoal sketches – it is in art that I found a passion like no other.

For several years I studied photo retouching, photo restoration, digital art, and photography.  All of this has led me here, with the chance to return to my true loves.  I am grateful, today, to be able to help support my family, while doing what I LOVE – creating beautiful images… of you, your family, children and friends.

I want to give you and your loved ones a truly remarkable look at the beauty of your life.  I will come to your home and make your portraits right there if you choose.  No studio can give your photos the same soul.  My style…?  Some days my soul sings in the photographic, and others I am wrapped up in the art of my heart (or yours).  Feel free to contact me to further discuss your desires or my style.  I know we will have a great time!
